"Silk Road Youth" project declared in Sanaa
"Silk Road Youth" project declared in Sanaa
[Tue, 19 Mar 2019 23:35:52 +0300]

br> SANAA, March 19 (Saba) – The"Silk Road Youth" Project was declared on Tuesday in the capital Sanaa under the slogan "for conscious Yemeni economic generation."

At the declaration ceremony, organized by the Yemeni Club for Coordinating with BRICS Countries, Deputy Prime Minister for Development and Economic Affaris Dr. Hussein Maqboli said that Yemen has an honorable history in the international trade road by land and sea, indicating the importance of Yemen's location overlooking the international shipping line "Silk Road," which is considered a link between East and West via the strait of Bab al-Mandab.

Dr. Maqboli confirmed the government's interest in the project through the strategy for the current year, especially in the field of development and economy.

"The strategy pays attention to the goals of sustainable development 2030 to keep pace with the outside world in the development and construction and broad partnership with the private sector," Dr. Maqboli added.

Dr. Maqboli called on "BRICS youth" to unite in a national framework to draw a unified strategy for the future within the framework of the vision launched by the martyr President Saleh al-Samad.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Hashemi referred to the secret objective of the aggression on Yemen by the US-backed Saudi-led coalition, which is to control Yemen's location and its capabilities.

Al-Hashemi explained that the coalition countries have sought to prevent the growth and success of any project to achieve independence and advancement, as well as the prevention of building a strong modern Yemeni state with sovereignty over its location and resources.

Head of the Yemeni Club for Coordinating with BRICS Countries Ali Ishaq said that the declaration of the Silk Road Youth project is one of the club's initiatives as a civil society organization on the economy.

Ishaq affirmed that "the aggression on Yemen comes within an international and regional context to expand the political, military and economic influence and control over the ports, coasts and important waterways in the region through the occupation of Yemeni islands and commercial and oil ports after they were destroyed."

In her speech on behalf of Silk Road Youth, Hadeel al-Rifai said "the project aims to raise awareness among youth about Yemen's economic importance and China's initiative to revive the Silk Road, which will bring benefit for the national economy."

The project also aims to create promising opportunities for youth in the field of training and qualification in line with the labor market, she added.
