HODEIDAH, June 28 (Saba) – More than 50 of Saudi-paid mercenaries were killed, including leaders, and 18 of their military vehicles were destroyed when the Yemen army and popular committees repelled their infiltration attempts toward Western coast fronts in Hodeidah province during the past hours, a military official told Saba News Agency on Thursday.
The official pointed out that the bodies of the dead and wounded were left in the sites where the infiltration of coalition forces were foiled.
The army and committees destroyed five armored vehicles and eight military vehicles were destroyed, inflicting the enemy heavy losses in lives and equipment, as well as the army and committees destroyed five military vehicles since Wednesday evening, killing all their crews.
In the north of Tuhaita front, the army and committees dragged the coalition forces in Date’s factory, inflicting them heavy losses as well the army and committees destroyed three military vehicles and seized military equipment.
The enemy waged a failed attack in the west of Tuhaita district, inflicted heavy casualties.
Furthermore, the army and committees destroyed four military vehicles during launching an offensive in the west Tuhaita, killing and wounding all who were on board, while tow armored were destroyed by guided missiles and gatherings of mercenaries were targeted by artillery shells and Machine gun weapons, killing and wounding dozens.
The enemy also tried to infiltrate toward desert area in Mujails to cut off the road of Tuhaita-Swaiq districts but the army and committees carried out a process of surrounding the coalition groups who fled towards the desert after they suffered losses of lives and equipment.
In additional, the army and committees destroyed an armored and two military vehicles in Faza area by attacks carried by the army and committees , according to the military plans followed by the leadership in the battle of the Western coast.
The official also confirmed the continued siege of the invaders in the areas they tried to infiltrate, as well as the army and popular committees continues to cut supply lines to the enemy, who was exhausted a large amount of ammunition in indiscriminate shelling of empty areas.
