Sana'a - Saba:

A cultural symposium titled "The Nature of Conflict with Zionist Enemy" was held today in Sana'a. The symposium was organized by the Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water, in cooperation with the Preparatory Committee for the Palestine Conference.

The symposium, in coordination with the Central Committee for Mobilization and Public Mobilization and the Yemeni Center for Political and Strategic Studies, discussed four themes: the conflict with the People of the Book, the stages of Zionist control over Christians, the role of the Saudi regime in serving the Zionist enemy, and the Zionist enemy's methodology in targeting water resources.

At the opening, Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif, emphasized the importance of holding the symposium, which highlights the nature of the conflict with the Zionist enemy at one of the greatest turning points in the history of the conflict with the Zionist-American project.

He considered the battle of "The Promised Victory and the Holy Jihad," which Yemen is waging against the Zionist-American enemy, the culmination of the conflict between the axis of the oppressed and the axis of global tyranny. It was a devastating blow against hegemony and a devastating blow to the enemy's structure, which had long believed it was invincible. Minister Ali Saif pointed out that Operation "Noah's Flood" marked the beginning of this battle. It was the first cry that revived the body of the nation and redirected the compass toward Quds as a central issue that cannot be forgotten, but rather evokes faith and requires jihad.

He said, "From the womb of Operation Noah's Flood, the battle of the promised conquest and holy jihad was born—a battle of faith, identity, liberation, and salvation." He explained that this battle is not a passing event in the context of time, but rather a historical turning point with profound strategic dimensions, exposing the fragility of the enemy entity from within, revealing the falsehood of its intelligence and media power, and confirming that the axis of resistance is no longer in a defensive position, but rather in a position of attack, advancement, and deterrence.

The Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water clarified that the battle of "The Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad," in its civilizational dimension, revealed that the American-Zionist project was not merely an occupation of land, but rather an attempt to erase identity, destroy awareness, and replace religious doctrine with a humiliating, normalizing, and surrendering system.

He added, "This battle came to restore the spirit of the nation, connect it to its Quranic roots, and confront it with its historical responsibility to defend the holy sites, foremost among them Al-Aqsa Mosque. Its religious and moral dimensions embodied the highest Islamic values of sacrifice, patience, and steadfastness. It was a unique epic that rose to the level of holy jihad, to cleanse the land of the filth of occupation." He continued, "We in Yemen, from our position at the heart of the battle against the forces of arrogance and hegemony, clearly declare that the battle of the promised conquest, the holy jihad, is our battle, our historical responsibility, and a trust upon our necks. We will not hesitate to sacrifice our lives, our spirits, and our blood in its victory until the Zionist entity is eliminated, the land is returned to its people, and the holy sites are cleansed of the filth of the Zionist Jews." Dr. Ali Saif reviewed the repercussions of the Zionist aggression on Gaza and the tragedy it left behind, not limited to bombing, killing, and direct destruction. It also extended to the deepest components of life, including water, the primary lifeline, with the deliberate targeting of water infrastructure and vital resources in a double crime that violates international and humanitarian laws and conventions.

He stated that more than two million people in Gaza are now unable to access clean and safe drinking water, threatening their lives with deadly epidemics such as cholera, typhoid, and others, especially in light of the collapse of the health system and the scarcity of aid.

In the symposium, attended by Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water Adel Bader and moderated by Abdulaziz Abu Talib, Executive Director of the Center for Political and Strategic Studies, Saada University President Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Hamran reviewed the symposium's first theme, "The Conflict with the People of the Book." He pointed to the nature of the conflict with the Jews, their hatred of Islam and Muslims, and their targeting of the Ummah throughout history. He reviewed the tragedy and humanitarian catastrophe taking place in Gaza and all of Palestine for seven decades at the hands of the Zionist enemy, supported by the United States and Europe.

Dr. Al-Hamran stated that since October 7, 2023, the Zionist enemy has caused the martyrdom and injury of more than 220,000 Palestinian citizens and has completely destroyed the infrastructure and livelihoods of the Gaza Strip. He considered these crimes a blatant violation of international and humanitarian norms, covenants, and laws, as well as divine laws.

He noted that the martyr leader, Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, derived from the Holy Quran the Quranic project under which the Yemeni people live today. He sought out scholars, academics, and others who would shoulder the burden of the Ummah's mission in confronting the People of the Book, reviewing the factors for victory and the means of achieving strength to confront the People of the Book and the Zionist Jews. The second section, presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Arami, President of Al-Bayda University, addressed the emergence of Zionism and the stages of its control over Christians. He explained that the first stage was represented by a shift in Christians' perception of Jews (1523-1611), during which Jews remained cursed in the eyes of the Christian world for nearly 1,500 years, during which they suffered persecution and contempt. He spoke about the second stage of Zionist control over Christians, represented by the sanctification of Jews in Europe (1611-1781), during which the Bible became an integral part of England, just like Queen Victoria. Writers often refer to the Bible with phrases such as "the Holy Bible," "the greatest English classic," or even "the most revered piece of national heritage." Dr. Al-Arami presented the third stage of Zionist control over Christians, represented by "Zionist penetration into Europe" (1781-1897). He explained that the fourth decade of the 19th century marked a pivotal stage in Zionist penetration, during which Britain worked to expand foreign concessions into Ottoman lands, taking advantage of the dispute between Muhammad Ali Pasha in Egypt and the Ottoman Empire and bringing Jews under its protection.

He touched on the fourth stage, represented by the implementation of Zionist projects (1902-1917), when the founder of the Zionist movement, Theodor Herzl, met with British Prime Minister Joseph Chamberlain in 1902. Herzl stated, "Our base must be in Palestine, which can serve as a buffer state that secures British interests."

For his part, Sheikh Muqbil Al-Kadhi, a member of the Mobilization Committee, highlighted the role of the Saudi regime in serving the Zionist enemy, through Britain's empowerment of the House of Saud, led by Abdulaziz, in 1909, to administer the Hijaz and dominate the Arabian Peninsula in exchange for ceding Palestine and making it a Jewish homeland.

He stated In 1916, Britain established an army for the Al Saud family, called the "Ikhwan Army," to enable them to rule the Hijaz in exchange for serving the Jews, providing them with facilities, and enabling them to dominate the Arab peoples. He reviewed the Al Saud family's conspiracies against Arab countries and peoples, including the establishment of alliances, including Operation Desert Storm to destroy Iraq and Operation Decisive Storm to destroy Yemen, among others.

Sheikh Al-Kadhi said, "The Al Saud family worked to distort the image of Islam and Muslims through Wahhabi ideology, supported financially, administratively, intellectually, and economically by the Saudi regime, until Wahhabi ideology spread throughout the world on two wings: the wing of power and the wing of money."

Meanwhile, the Directors of Water and Sanitation, Muhammad Al-Du'ais, and the Director of Water and Sanitation Sector Reform, Zaid Al-Kahlani, presented the fourth section, addressing the Zionist enemy's methodology in targeting the water and sanitation sectors in Yemen and the Gaza Strip, the stages and mechanisms of targeting, and the disastrous consequences it had on infrastructure, inflicting total and partial damage to urban and rural areas.

They pointed out that the total number of airstrikes affecting the electricity sector in Yemen since 2014 to date is 400 direct raids, resulting in total or partial damage to power plants across various governorates and the destruction of most of the infrastructure of electricity sector buildings and facilities.

They presented, with photos, the aggression's targeting of water reservoirs in Sa'ada, Hajjah, and other governorates, as well as the targeting of 146 water reservoir and network projects. They also presented the material losses caused to the General Water Corporation and its branches, local water and sanitation institutions, the Rural Water Projects Authority, the Human Resources Development Center, and other economic damage.

Al-Duais and Al-Kahlani explained that the Zionist-American aggression on Yemen led to the martyrdom of 48 workers from the Rural Water Projects Authority, the General Water and Sanitation Corporation, and local water and sanitation institutions in the capital, Hodeida, Taiz, Hajjah, Dhamar, Sa'ada, and Amran. They presented statistics on the damage caused by the systematic aggression on the water and sanitation sectors in Gaza and the humanitarian situation in Palestine in general since October 7, 2023. These statistics included facilities and buildings, as well as the projects that were destroyed, exacerbating the suffering of the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples. They also included the damage to sanitation services in Gaza as a result of the Zionist aggression.

The seminar was attended by Engineer Abdul Jabbar Al-Shami, head of the technical sector at the Ministry of Electricity, and Yahya Al-Shami, Undersecretary of the Rural Water Projects Authority, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water and its affiliated bodies and institutions.
