Former Manchester United legend Eric Cantona mourned the late Palestinian player Suleiman al-Obeid, who was killed Wednesday morning by Israeli enemy army gunfire in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, while waiting to receive humanitarian aid.

Cantona wrote a touching message on his official social media account, saying: "Israel has just killed Palestinian national team star Suleiman al-Obeid while waiting for aid in Rafah. He was nicknamed the 'Pelé of Palestine.' How long will we allow them to commit this genocide? Free Palestine."

The Palestinian Football Association announced on Wednesday the death of Palestinian national team player Suleiman Al-Obeid, nicknamed the "Pelé of Palestinian football," after being shot while waiting for humanitarian aid in the southern Gaza Strip.
