Tehran - Saba:

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei criticized the inaction of international institutions regarding the crimes of the Zionist entity in the Gaza Strip, describing the ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity in Gaza as one of the most important issues on the international scene.

This came during a press conference held by the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman today, Monday, on the occasion of Journalist Day, according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency.

Mehr News Agency quoted Baghaei as saying: "The ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Zionist regime in Gaza remains one of the most important issues on the international scene, and unfortunately, the inaction of international institutions in confronting this crime continues."

Regarding Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's recent visit to Pakistan, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman described the visit as important, and Baghaei said: "This visit was extremely important and will open a new page in relations between the two countries. Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan. During this visit, 12 documents were signed in various economic, trade, customs, and cultural fields. The extension of the cultural agreement between the two countries was an important development.

The decision to conclude a free trade agreement between the two countries was noted. We appreciated Pakistan's stance during the military aggression against Iran, and it reflects its approach to the rule of law and its understanding of the dangers of Zionist expansionism.

The two countries, as founders of the Economic Cooperation Organization, can play an effective role in the economic development of the region and both countries."

"The First Vice President is scheduled to travel to Turkmenistan today to participate in the third summit of landlocked developing countries. The importance of this summit for us as Iran lies in the fact that out of the 32 landlocked countries, eight are linked to Iran, and seven of them are members of the Economic Cooperation Organization. Iran's role as a bridge between the landlocked countries in our neighborhood is very important, and a ten-year development plan for the landlocked countries is planned," Baghaei added.

Baghaei: Our cooperation with the agency is based on a parliamentary decision.

Regarding the Iranian nuclear file, and in response to a question about the current presence of IAEA inspectors in Iran, Baghaei said, "There are currently no IAEA inspectors in Iran." He explained, "Naturally, Iran's cooperation with the IAEA must be regulated in accordance with the latest resolution issued by the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs consider themselves obligated to regulate their dealings with the agency based on this resolution."

He added, "We have repeatedly expressed our complaints and objections to the politicized conduct of the IAEA," adding, "We remain a party to treaties such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and Iran, as a responsible state, abides by the relevant documents as long as it is a party to these treaties."

Baghaei concluded by saying, "The three European countries have no legal right to use the so-called 'snapback' mechanism to re-impose sanctions. Misuse of this tool will have consequences. Therefore, what must be done is clear."
