His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the passing of Engineer Ahmed Qaid Barakat, who died at the age of 91 after a life full of dedication in service to the nation.
In his message, His Excellency the President praised the virtues of the late Barakat and his contributions to serving his country and society in the fields of science, thought, and knowledge. He was a national figure, a thinker, and a writer on issues of development, society, and Arab identity.
President Al-Mashat expressed his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased and all members of the Barakat family, asking Almighty God to envelop him in His vast mercy, forgiveness, pleasure, to grant him a place in His spacious gardens, to bestow patience and solace upon his family and loved ones.
"Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return."
