Sana'a - Saba:
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer met on Tuesday with UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Julian Harens.

During the meeting, several pressing humanitarian issues were discussed, most notably the water project in al-Hawban area of Taiz governorate, ways to complete the repair of the Dhale'' Road, and the importance of prioritizing the mines issue.

During the meeting, Minister Amer emphasized the utmost importance of completing the water project in al-Hawban area of Taiz governorate, emphasizing the need to provide sufficient funding to implement this vital project, as it is a humanitarian project that serves hundreds of thousands of citizens in the governorate.

He also highlighted the importance of completing the repair of Dhale' Road, which was recently reopened through local initiatives, given its role in facilitating the movement of citizens and alleviating humanitarian suffering.

The Foreign Minister called on the United Nations to give the mines issue the attention it deserves, noting that the majority of their victims are civilians, especially children, women, and the elderly.

He expressed regret that donors were ignoring the seriousness of this humanitarian problem, which is claiming lives and causing permanent disabilities.

For his part, UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator Harens emphasized the UN's concern for humanitarian issues in Yemen and its ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people.
