Ankara - Saba:
Members of the Ankara Platform for Solidarity with Palestine protested against the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza in front of the US Embassy in the Turkish capital, Ankara, under the slogan "Gaza is dying, enough is enough."
According to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, members of the platform gathered on Sunday at the Tuba Altınuk Mosque in the Çukurambar neighborhood, chanting anti-occupation and anti-US slogans before heading to the US Embassy.
The protesters left many empty food plates stained red on the ground to draw attention to the hunger suffered by Palestinians in Gaza under a stifling blockade imposed by Israel.
In his speech, platform spokesman Mustafa Eminoglu said that the inhumane attacks on civilians in Gaza continue, and that hospitals, schools, and essential living facilities are being systematically targeted.
Aminoglu added that the genocide in Gaza continues openly, that the Islamic world and the international community are powerless to confront this brutality, and that stronger and more realistic steps must be taken.
