Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms across several governorates, along with active to strong winds around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts, over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected to fall on parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhale'a, Bayda, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, and even parts of the Hadhramaut and Al Mahrah plateaus.
Scattered rain is also likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Dhamar, Raymah, Sana'a, Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, and Saada.
Active to strong winds are expected around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
The rainfall over the past 24 hours, measured at the Ataq, Shabwa, meteorological station, was 3 mm. Scattered rains of varying intensity also fell on parts of the governorates of Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Dhale'a, Ibb, Dhamar, Sana'a, Saada.
The center warned citizens against staying in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall, and against crossing over land bridges during flash floods. It urged them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
