The foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states strongly condemned the military aggression launched by the Zionist entity and the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran during their 51st meeting held in Istanbul, Türkiye, on June 21-22, 2025.
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on Sunday, the meeting denounced the Israeli military aggression against Iran, including the repeated targeting of civilian infrastructure and peaceful nuclear facilities fully under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as the assassination of scientists, military leaders, and innocent civilians, including women and children. The OIC deemed these actions a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The ministers also condemned the joint attacks by Israel and the U.S. on nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, urging the IAEA to formally condemn these assaults and refer them to the UN Security Council.
They emphasized that these attacks constitute war crimes and pose a direct threat to regional , international peace and security, calling for their immediate cessation.
The OIC held the Zionist entity fully responsible for its crimes and demanded accountability under international law.
It further called on the UN Security Council to take urgent measures under Chapter VII of the UN Charter to compel Israel to halt its aggression.
The organization affirmed Iran’s natural and legitimate right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and people.
