Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts sea roughness in the Socotra Archipelago and the Gulf of Aden due to winds, hot to extremely hot weather along the coasts and deserts, and scattered rain in mountainous areas over the next 24 hours.
The center reported in its weather bulletin that strong to very strong winds are expected to blow across the Socotra Archipelago and the Gulf of Aden.
The weather is likely to be hot to extremely hot in the deserts and coastal plains, and humid and hot in coastal areas.
It indicated the possibility of scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, in parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhale'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit, Hajjah, and west of Sana'a, Amran, and Saada. The forecast may extend to parts of the highlands of the governorates of Lahj and Abyan.
The amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Rasaba, Dhamar, and Ad Dali' reached 5.8 mm and 4.1 mm, respectively. Scattered rains, some accompanied by thunder, also fell in parts of the governorates of Lahj, Taiz, Hajjah, and Amran, outside the stations' range.
The center warned seagoers, fishermen, and ship captains of high seas and rough waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, and the eastern coasts.
It also warned citizens living in deserts and coastal plains of the hot and extremely hot weather and advised against direct exposure to the sun during the afternoon.
It warned citizens living in mountainous areas where rainfall is expected to occur against staying in or crossing floodwaters during and after the rainfall.
