Hebron – Saba:
Israeli occupation forces bulldozed on Thursday the entrances to a large number of shops and commercial establishments in the town of al-Ramadin, south of Hebron, and seized a waste collection vehicle south of Nablus.
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) quoted al-Ramadin Municipality Director Anis al-Zagharneh as saying that Israeli forces stormed the town's entrance and the main road connecting the towns of al-Dhahiriya and al-Ramadin with military vehicles and bulldozers. The enemy forces completely closed the road, preventing residents from moving, and bulldozed the entrances to a large number of shops and commercial establishments, creating a trench along the road.
He explained that these shops and establishments comprise a chain of stores spread along the road and constitute the primary and sole source of income for a large number of families. He explained that the Israeli forces' goal behind these bulldozing operations is to prevent residents and customers from accessing them and force their owners to close their businesses.
About a week ago, Israeli occupation forces notified more than 30 shops and commercial establishments in the area of demolition. Last December, they demolished more than 40 shops and commercial establishments in the same area after forcibly evacuating their owners.
In another development, Israeli occupation forces seized a waste collection vehicle from the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, on Thursday.
Local sources reported to Wafa that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Aqraba, seized the waste collection vehicle, and took it to an Israeli military camp in the town of Huwara.
