Geneva – Saba: The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, issued an urgent appeal to world governments to take action in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
During the opening session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday, Türk said: "Everyone in positions of power must wake up to what is happening in Gaza, and everyone with influence must exert maximum pressure to put an end to this 'unbearable suffering.'"
