Gaza – Saba:
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday launched an urgent appeal for blood units to be brought into the Strip's hospitals.
In a statement, the Ministry cited a "severe and dangerous shortage" of blood units due to the escalating number of wounded, the tightened Israeli blockade hindering medical supplies, and citizens' declining ability to donate blood due to malnutrition.
The Ministry appealed to international, humanitarian, and UN organizations, specifically the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross, for immediate intervention.
It called for pressure on Israeli enemy authorities to urgently allow the entry of sufficient blood units and medical supplies, and urged the international community to fulfill its moral and humanitarian responsibilities to save the lives of hundreds of sick and wounded.
