Bethlehem – Saba:
Israeli enemy forces released Palestinian journalist Sabri Jibril from the town of Tuqu' in Bethlehem, south of the West Bank, on Wednesday.
Sanad News Agency reported that Israeli enemy forces released Jibril after he had spent 20 months in administrative detention.
More than 180 Palestinian journalists have been arrested since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, with the Israeli occupation keeping approximately 50 of them in detention.
Israeli authorities have escalated their policy of arresting journalists since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, to impose greater control and censorship on journalistic work and in an ongoing attempt to deprive journalists of their right to freedom of opinion and expression and to practice their profession. This is in addition to the enemy's assassinations of journalists in Gaza as part of the ongoing genocide.
