Tehran – Saba:
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that it is clear that reaching an agreement capable of ensuring the continued peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program is now within reach.
Araghchi wrote in a post on X platform, "US President Trump declared immediately after entering the White House that Iran should not possess nuclear weapons. This position is in fact consistent with Iran's doctrine and can be used as a primary basis for a joint agreement."
He added, "With the resumption of indirect Iranian-US negotiations on Sunday, it has become clear that reaching an agreement that ensures the continued peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program is within reach and can be reached quickly."
Araghchi pointed out that such an agreement, which would be fruitful for both sides, is conditional on the continuation of Iran's enrichment program under full supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the effective lifting of sanctions.
