Hodeida – Saba:
Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Radwan al-Rubai and Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi on Wednesday visited fish landing centers in al-Duraihimi district to assess fishermen's conditions and needs.
The visit included inspections of Bal'a Marina and al-Nakhila landing center, focusing on service quality and infrastructure requirements.
Officials discussed challenges with center staff and emphasized the need for institutional support and expanded production.
The delegation, accompanied by Coast Guard personnel and fisheries officials, also exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings and praised efforts to secure coastal areas.
The Minister and Governor stressed the importance of cooperative efforts to improve fishermen’s livelihoods and develop the fishing sector as a key driver of local economic resilience.
