Sana'a – Saba:
The General Mobilization in the Capital Sana'a on Tuesday held an expanded meeting with scholars, preachers, and cultural, educational, and social elites to officially launch al-Wilayah anniversary activities for the year 1446 AH.
Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dhaifullah Rassam highlighted the importance of the principle of al-Wilayah (Guardianship) in Islam, its benefits, and the criteria for selecting a leader based on the Quranic concept to achieve victory over Jews, hypocrites, and enemies of the nation.
First Capital Sana'a undersecretary Khaled Al-Madani emphasized the anniversary's importance in embodying Yemenis' connection to Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and drawing lessons from his life.
Al-Madani asserted that Yemenis are now reaping the fruits of their commitment to this principle, evidenced by successive victories over global tyranny.
He contrasted supporters of Allah and Imam Ali with those supporting "Trump, Biden, and Netanyahu," calling for a return to Imam Ali's approach for victory and empowerment over enemies.
Scholar Fouad Naji and cultural activist Dr. Ahmed al-Shami stated that true national victory comes through sincere support for God, His Messenger, Imam Ali, and the "beacons of guidance," which they believe forms a "proud, victorious, and unbreakable nation."
They stressed that the principle of al-Wilayah preserves the nation's dignity, pride, identity, and independence, urging its application across all aspects of life, including economy, education, and political relations.
Cultural activist Dr. Qais al-Tal reviewed the significance of the anniversary, explaining Prophet Muhammad's declaration of Imam Ali's al-Wilayah at Ghadir Khumm by divine command, emphasizing its role in charting the path of leadership for the nation.
He urged organizing events and lectures to highlight Yemenis' love and connection to Imam Ali despite systematic targeting of al-Wilayah principle.
