Washington - Saba:
Activists and human rights organizations, via email, called on members of Congress to take urgent action to stop support for ongoing war crimes in Gaza by supporting the "Block the Bombs Act," which aims to halt the transfer of US weapons to Israel.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) on Tuesday, Congresswoman Dalia Ramirez and more than 20 members submitted a new bill to Congress on the fifth of this month, titled the "Block the Bombs Act."
This bill aims to immediately ban the export of US-made bombs used in Gaza. If passed, this legislation will prevent the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel and require it to comply with US and international law.
The protesters also called on members of Congress to immediately express their position on protecting the Freedom Flotilla team, emphasizing that delivering food and medicine is not a crime, but rather a humanitarian duty.
