Rome - Saba:
Inter Milan has announced the appointment of Romanian Cristian Chivu as the team's new coach.
The Italian club announced in a statement published on its website on Monday that the Romanian coach signed a contract keeping him with Inter Milan until June 30, 2027.
The 44-year-old coach replaces Simone Inzaghi, who left the team to take over at Saudi club Al-Hilal last Wednesday.
Chivu's appointment came hours after his former club Parma agreed to terminate his contract.
Parma appointed Chivu last February, when the team was ranked 18th out of 20 teams in the Italian League.
The Romanian coach managed to steer Parma away from relegation and finished the season in 16th place.
