The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the fuel shortage crisis is entering critical hours, during which hospitals may shut down.
In a statement, the ministry added: al-Shifa Medical Complex and Arab National Hospital are at risk of going out of service within 24 hours.
It added al-Shifa Complex and Arab National Hospital are providing emergency medical care to the wounded and sick in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip after the hospitals there went out of service.
It said, "The outage of Al-Shifa Hospital and Al-Ahli Hospital means the collapse of the remaining healthcare facilities in Gaza City."
The statement noted that "Nasser Medical Complex is operating with limited quantities of fuel, not exceeding two days."
It confirmed, "So far, the Ministry of Health has not received any communications indicating that fuel will be allowed in and the generators will be reinforced."
The statement emphasized that "the interruption of the generators' operation would mean striking the nerve center of healthcare services and endangering the lives of patients and the wounded."
It called on "the relevant authorities to take urgent action to pressure the occupation and allow the entry of fuel, spare parts, and oils for the hospital's generators."
