Gaza Govt Media Office emphasizes UN's pivotal role in aid delivery, affirms readiness to secure aid

Gaza – Saba:

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip has underscored the crucial and pivotal role of the United Nations in delivering aid. The office affirmed the Gaza government's readiness to secure and protect humanitarian assistance until it reaches all those suffering from starvation.

In a statement, the office declared: "In light of the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe facing the Gaza Strip, as a result of the policy of systematic starvation and genocide pursued by the Israeli enemy, we would like to emphasize the importance of the pivotal and necessary role played by the United Nations and its specialized agencies in delivering and passing humanitarian aid to the besieged and starving civilians."

The statement highlighted that the United Nations and its agencies represent the official international body with legal legitimacy and field capabilities, having served Palestinian refugees for over half a century and guaranteed their basic human rights.

The government media office reiterated that the proposed alternatives, particularly the so-called Israeli-American aid overseen and supported by the Israeli enemy army, have proven to be a "complete failure on every level. It pointed out that these "politicized projects lacked transparency, were biased, violated basic standards of justice and dignity, and served as "propaganda tools" that failed to address the actual needs of the civilian population. Instead, they "perpetuate aggressive control and deepen the humanitarian crisis."

The office held the Israeli enemy fully responsible for the humanitarian catastrophe, deeming the US administration, which provides political, military, and financial cover, a major partner in the crime of mass starvation perpetrated against more than 2.4 million Palestinian civilians, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and all international norms and conventions.

The statement affirmed the Gaza government's "full readiness to secure relief aid from the moment it enters the country until it reaches its beneficiaries, in full accordance with United Nations mechanisms and and standards, and within the framework of preventing any attempts at theft, chaos, or anarchy. It emphasized confidence in relevant government agencies, in full cooperation and coordination with the various components of society, especially the families and clans of the Gaza Strip, who have affirmed their full support for government agencies and their assistance in this mission, to ensure efficient facilitation of relief operations.

The media office indicated that this security will be implemented despite repeated targeting by the enemy army of government and police personnel, which has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 750 martyrs among police personnel securing humanitarian aid, as well as thousands of employees working in government departments and municipalities.

It called on "the masses of the great Palestinian people, with all their sects and components, to actively contribute to protecting relief and humanitarian aid convoys and to prevent any attacks on them or any deviation from their path, so that they can reach their rightful owners, the hungry and displaced families who have paid the heaviest price in this heinous war of aggression."

The government media official concluded by emphasizing that "our national unity and the integration of our official and popular efforts are the safety valve at this critical stage and the true guarantee for saving our noble Palestinian people in the face of the machine of death and starvation pursued by the Israeli enemy."
