Al-Hodeida – SABA:
The "Al-Fath Al-Maw'oud and Sacred Jihad" football tournament concluded today in the historic city of Manathir, Al-Hawk District, Al-Hodeida Governorate. The event, organized by the Youth and Sports Office in coordination with local authorities, featured 16 teams competing in a spirited display of sportsmanship.
The final, played between "Al-Majd Academy" and "Nasr Palestine," ended in a 0-0 draw, with Al-Majd Academy winning 5-4 on penalties.
Deputy Governor highlighted the tournament's national and cultural significance, praising organizers for fostering collective identity and belonging.
Youth and Sports Director Emad Al-Burai emphasized the event’s role in promoting discipline, competition, and youth engagement, urging more such initiatives.
Local Council member Mohammed Al-Almani noted how the tournament strengthened national values, cultural identity, and community solidarity.
The winning team received the championship cup and gold medals, while the runners-up were awarded silver medals. Organizers and key contributors were also honored.
The tournament drew strong public engagement in Manathir, a city rich in historical and cultural heritage, adding deep emotional and patriotic resonance to the event.
