The government of the Puglia region in southern Italy announced the severance of all forms of cooperation and institutional relations with the Zionist entity, in protest against its ongoing crimes against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The official Italian news agency ANSA quoted the governor of the region, Michele Emiliano, as saying that the decision comes in the context of moral rejection of the massacres committed by the Netanyahu government against a defenseless people. He added that the move expresses a clear political stance against the policies of the Israeli government.
Emiliano instructed local administration officials and bodies affiliated with the regional government to cease any dealings or coordination with representatives of the Israeli government and relevant institutions, unless these parties express clear intentions to launch initiatives aimed at ending military operations and halting the Palestinian bloodshed in Gaza.
