London – Saba:
Britain strongly condemned, on Thursday, the "Israeli" occupation's decision to approve the construction of 22 new settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The UK Minister of State for the Middle East, Himesh Faulkner, stated that "this move represents a deliberate obstacle to the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state."
In a post on the platform "X," he added, "Settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are illegal under international law."
Earlier on Thursday, the Zionist Public Broadcasting Corporation (official) revealed that the Ministerial Committee for Political and Security Affairs (Cabinet) had officially approved a plan to establish 22 new settlements in areas of the occupied West Bank—a move described as an unprecedented expansion of settlements in years.
