Jawf - Saba

A two-day training workshop concluded in Al-Jawf Governorate, focusing on training the planning team on the implementation mechanism for preparing the 1447 AH development plan and updating development reports at the governorate and district levels, as well as for value chains.

The workshop targeted 26 participants, including planning directors from executive offices, institutions, districts, the Project and Agricultural Initiatives Financing Unit, cooperative associations, and Bonyan Foundation. It aimed to equip them with the necessary skills to prepare the 1447 AH plan.

During the inauguration, the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Ali Hameed, emphasized the importance of the workshop in enhancing participants’ abilities to develop plans according to procedural steps and executive models. He highlighted planning as a cornerstone for comprehensive development and improving services.

Engineer Hassan Al-Domaini, head of the planning sector in the governorate, reviewed the guidelines and priorities of the 1447 AH plan, including axes related to faith identity, economic and community development, protection, education, health, and public services. He also outlined the implementation mechanism, procedural steps, competitive advantages, investment opportunities, and project prioritization criteria.

The governor of Al-Jawf, Faisal bin Haidar, met with participants and urged them to apply what they learned to create effective, community-driven development plans aligned with set priorities. He affirmed that the implementation of these plans would be closely monitored by local authorities and praised the efforts of the planning sector.
