Ibb - SABA:
A meeting chaired by Governor Abdulwahab Salah in Ibb governorate today discussed a plan to improve health and humanitarian conditions for inmates at the Central Rehabilitation Facility and detention centers in the governorate.
The meeting, attended by Amin Al-Warafi, Secretary-General of the Local Council, Jihad Ghathaya, head of the assigned Presidential Committee, deputy governors Mohammed Al-Shabibi and Jamal Al-Humairi, reviewed the role of relevant authorities in meeting the needs of rehabilitation and detention facilities, including mattresses, blankets, clothing, and water chlorination solutions.
The meeting emphasized the importance of equipping the health unit in the rehabilitation facility with medical devices, medicines, and qualified staff, as well as improving hygiene standards in all detention centers.
Attendees included Judge Abdulrahman Al-Nazili, head of the Prosecution, Brigadier Hadi Al-Kahlani, Director of Security, Akram Al-Madani from the Ministry of Interior’s Preventive Health Department, and the head of the Red Crescent Society branch.
Governor Salah stressed doubling efforts to fulfill the needs of these facilities across the governorate and its districts.
He highlighted the importance of supporting the Sanitation Fund to prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics.
The governor reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to improving conditions for inmates and urged coordinated efforts to enhance the performance of the health unit, ensuring quality medical services for detainees.
