Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicts scattered and variable rainfall across several governorates, and hot to extremely hot weather in coastal areas, deserts, and the interior plateaus over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that rainfall of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is expected in the governorates of Ibb, Taiz, Dhale'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Amran, and Hajjah.
Scattered rain is also likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Al Mahwit, Al Bayda, and the western regions of Sa'dah and Sana'a, as well as on the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, and parts of the eastern coast and the Socotra Archipelago.
According to the center, the weather is likely to be hot to extremely hot and dry during the day in the deserts and interior plateaus, with maximum temperatures ranging between 40-45 degrees Celsius.
While the weather may be hot and humid in coastal areas and the Socotra Archipelago, maximum temperatures range between 35-39°C.
The center reported that the amount of rainfall over the past 24 hours, measured at meteorological stations in Ibb, was 4.7 mm, and in Taiz, 2.4 mm.
The center warned citizens of thunderstorms and floodwaters during and after rainfall. It also warned citizens of the hot and extremely hot weather, advising them to avoid direct sunlight during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids.
