"Al-Aqsa Flood" Summer School Football Championship concluded on Saturday in Amran district of Amran province organized by the Youth and Sports Office in coordination with the Education Sector and Amran district, under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Summer Courses.
Imam Hussein team from the 14th of October School emerged as the champions, winning the tournament that featured 12 teams over ten days. They secured their victory by defeating the Martyr Leader team 7-6 on penalties after a goalless draw.
At the closing ceremony, Ansarullah Political Bureau member Daifullah al-Shami highlighted the significance of sports tournaments within the summer school programs, particularly those named after events like the "Al-Aqsa Flood," referencing the Battle of October 7, 2023.
He stated that the Yemeni people, especially the younger generation, are prepared to join the "promised conquest and holy jihad" alongside Palestinians against the "usurping Zionist enemy."
Following the final match, Ansarullah Political Bureau member Sajjad Hamza al-Shami, the governorate's mobilization official Zaid Rattas, the education sector official Mazen al-Makhadi, and the deputy director of the Youth and Sports Office honored the victorious Imam Hussein team with the championship cup and gold medals. The runner-up Martyr Leader team received silver medals.
