Russia called on Israel to halt its war on the Gaza Strip and ensure the resumption of humanitarian aid to the Strip's residents.

This is to pave the way for the resumption of the political process and a just and long-term solution to the Palestinian issue based on recognized international law.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed Moscow's disappointment with Tel Aviv's decision to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip, noting that the decision will lead to further killing and destruction.
