The Maritime Association of Australia (MUA) condemned the drone attack on the humanitarian aid ship "The Conscious" in international waters off Malta, which was heading to the Gaza Strip last Friday.
The association, which represents dockworkers and seafarers across the Australian maritime industry, expressed in a statement on Wednesday its unwavering solidarity with the Peace Flotilla and the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
It emphasized the importance of free and safe passage at sea, especially for ships carrying humanitarian aid to those in desperate need.
