On World Press Freedom Day, Hamas praised the media for its role in conveying the truth and countering Israeli propaganda, stressing that Israeli crimes will not silence the Palestinian narrative.
In a press statement, the movement condemned Israel’s ongoing targeting of journalists in Gaza, noting that 212 journalists have been killed and over 177 arbitrarily detained since the start of the assault.
Hamas called on international legal bodies to hold Israel accountable for its violations and protect journalists, urging continued support for Palestinian media efforts to expose occupation crimes and amplify the voice of the Palestinian people.
