Deputy Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Nasser al-Mihdhar and Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ali al-Makni met on Sunday to discuss collaboration between their ministries, focusing particularly on automation initiatives.
The meeting addressed enhancing performance and services for citizens through improved communication networks between the Ministry and provinces.
Discussions covered establishing a dedicated website for the Ministry with a new official domain, providing secure email addresses for staff, and exploring technical support and IT cooperation. Plans for training ministry, governorate, and district staff at the General Institute of Telecommunications to improve technical skills were also reviewed.
The Deputy Minister of Telecommunications emphasized the importance of these points and pledged the ministry's support in hosting the website and forming a specialized team to address the details.
An agreement was reached to simplify internal communication methods and to create a list of services and locations for better access to information. Both sides stressed the importance of teamwork and exchanging expertise to achieve their goals in local and rural development and ensure project implementation according to high standards.
