Manchester City makes astronomical offer to sign Barcelona's "jewel"

Madrid - Saba:

Spanish media reported that "English football club Manchester City is planning to make a fantastic offer to sign Barcelona's playmaker, Pedri Gonzalez, during the upcoming summer transfer window of 2025."

According to the Spanish network "Fichajes," the offer included €200 million to sign Pedri, noting that "Pedri, 22, recently renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2030."

The Spanish network indicated that "the English team is ready to make the Spanish star the highest-paid player in the English Premier League if he joins the team."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola revealed the return date of his Spanish player, Rodri, with reports confirming the midfielder's recovery faster than expected.

Guardiola said in press statements: "It's been five and a half or six months since his injury (Rodri), so after the international break, he might be ready, but we have to take things step by step and not make rash decisions to bring him back prematurely."

He added: "It's good, but he's not close to returning yet. But he's starting to touch the ball, he's in the dressing room, and he feels more confident and happy. I didn't expect him to return before the Club World Cup, but..." Now, that could happen during the current Premier League season.

The Premier League ends on May 25, but Manchester City's stars will regroup on June 12 to prepare for the Club World Cup in the United States.
