The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems had shot down 10 Ukrainian drones over three Russian provinces between Monday evening and this morning.
RT quoted the ministry as saying in an official statement, "Air defense systems intercepted and shot down 10 Ukrainian drones overnight over three Russian regions, between 8:00 PM on Monday and 6:00 AM on Tuesday, Moscow time."
According to the statement, five drones were destroyed over Crimea, while three others were intercepted over Belgorod Oblast and two over Orel Oblast.
It should be noted that Ukrainian forces launch almost daily drone attacks targeting border areas and central Russia. However, Russian air defense forces have succeeded in intercepting most of the enemy aircraft.
It is worth noting that the Belgorod Oblast is currently undergoing enhanced security measures as part of the "Anti-Terrorist Operation" to counter escalating security threats.
