The third conference, "Palestine: The Central Issue of the Nation," kicked off in the capital, Sana'a, with wide participation from local, Arab, Islamic, and international figures. Participants emphasized the centrality of the Palestinian cause and its pivotal role in the nation's conscience.
The conference focused on supporting the axis of resistance in confronting American and Zionist schemes. It reviewed Yemen's prominent role in supporting Gaza and confronting the occupation, despite the ongoing aggression and blockade on Yemen since 2015.
It also discussed the strategic dimensions of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle and its impact on the conflict, the dangers of normalization, and the importance of the economic and cultural boycott of the Zionist entity.
It also analyzed the uprisings in American and European universities and exposed the falsity of Western democracy in dealing with the Palestinian issue. The conference featured prominent speeches from political leaders and intellectuals.
Former Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi emphasized that Yemen represents a model of resistance to Western hegemony, while Nelson Mandela's grandson called for unified efforts to support the Palestinian people.
For his part, the Hamas representative in Yemen praised Sana'a's supportive stance towards the resistance, while international activists from the United States, Europe, and Latin America commended the steadfastness of the Yemenis and their role in championing the Palestinian cause.
The four-day conference aims to enhance coordination between the forces supporting Palestine and develop new strategies to support the cause globally, while raising awareness of the dangers of normalization and ways to confront it.
The conference featured 173 scientific papers presented by researchers from several countries, reflecting the scientific and intellectual importance of this event in formulating a clear vision for the future of the Palestinian cause.
