Mahara - Saba:

The Women's Department of the Peaceful Sit-in Committee in Mahara Governorate organized an awareness seminar to enhance the religious and cultural identity of the Mahari community.

The awareness seminar, with wide participation from women's sectors, aimed to educate Mahari women about the next stage after the governorate was targeted by the foreign occupation and its support for extremist and extremist Takfiri groups to strike the social fabric and destabilize security, peace and stability in the governorate.

During the event, Nadia Mukhbal, head of the Women's Department in the Peaceful Sit-in Committee in Mahara, pointed out the major challenges facing the people of the governorate, which requires everyone to raise awareness of the dangers of extremist thought and warn of its destructive effects on stability and social peace.

She stated that promoting a culture of moderation and tolerance, rejecting extremist thought, and highlighting societal values that enhance the cohesion of society, is of great importance today for all national components, preachers and social figures.

The head of the Women's Department called on all the people of the governorate to line up and unite to stand as one to confront all conspiracies and plans aimed at tearing apart the social fabric and dragging the governorate into a spiral of conflicts.

At a time when the suffering of the Yemeni people is exacerbated by the economic deterioration and its serious repercussions on all aspects of living and education, there are those who intervened under the banner of supporting Yemen and are going to establish new military formations that are loyal to the outside, which reveals the real goal of completing control and influence over the country, she added.

Mukhbal noted the prominent role of Mahari women in raising awareness and combating extremism by raising generations and protecting the family and society from deviant ideas.

The Vice President of the Women's Department in the Sit-in Committee, Noura Rafeet, stressed the need to enhance the role of women in raising awareness of negative phenomena such as drugs and other customs that are foreign to Yemeni society, and to work to guide the family and protect children from these negative influences.

The symposium included extensive interventions by many participants who confirmed their rejection of all extremist religious discourses and the rejection of the formation of armed militias loyal to them due to their danger to the cohesive social fabric in the governorate.
