Taiz - Saba:
A new commercial center and the "Jewel of Taiz" hotel were officially opened on Tuesday with a combined investment of $6.5 million.
The inauguration was attended by Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah and acting governor of Taiz province Ahmed a-Masawa, who toured the facilities and were briefed on the offerings, which include international exhibitions, retail shops, clothing, accessories, and various other products.
During the ceremony, al-Masawa expressed his pride in the new developments, highlighting the significance of the commercial center in boosting the region's economic and commercial activity.
He emphasized the importance of fostering private sector investment to drive economic growth in Taiz, one of the country’s most populous provinces.
Investor Musleh Dabwan spoke about the center’s role in supporting national investment and advancing competitive products. He also thanked the local authorities for their support in encouraging investment within the region.
The event was further celebrated with local songs and performances, attended by community leaders, directors of relevant offices, and local business figures.
The opening marks a significant step towards economic development in Taiz, enhancing both commercial activity and employment opportunities in the area.
