The General Administration of Traffic Police and the Security Department of Hodeida on Monday launched the work of the Traffic Control Branch in the western overnorate according to the framework of the Traffic Police development plan and its executive mechanism.
At the inauguration, the Director General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, and the Director General of Hodeida Governorate Security, Major General Aziz Al-Jaradi, explained that the Traffic Control Branch in Hodeida was supported with three patrols, two officers and 30 soldiers who were qualified and trained in traffic to enhance discipline and traffic safety, perform religious and national duty and serve citizens in the desired manner.
They pointed out the importance of the work of traffic control and its role in enhancing traffic safety, serving citizens, providing kindness to road users, and consolidating traffic discipline to ensure smooth traffic movement and a safe traffic environment.
They appreciated the support and interest of the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and its diligent, supportive and keen follow-up on implementing transformational projects that contribute to enhancing its performance and improving its services in the required manner.
The Traffic Control Branch in Hodeida had started work today and deployed at intersections and roundabouts under the supervision of the Deputy Director General of Traffic Police, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Aqar.
