The Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, and the President of Sana’a University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, visited the Heart and Cardiac Catheterization Center at Kuwait University Hospital today to review the free services provided to heart patients.
Dr. Luqman and Dr. Abbas were briefed on the charitable free medical days organized by the Heart Center from January 25–28. These services include consultations, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and blood sugar testing, all offered free of charge by a team of top heart specialists.
The Head of the Heart and Cardiac Catheterization Center, Dr. Salah Al-Shawki, and the Deputy for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Houthi, explained the range of services provided. These include free consultations, electrocardiograms, and sugar testing, as well as free medications for blood pressure, heart, and diabetes patients. Additionally, a 50% discount is offered on other procedures, including advanced tests, hospitalization, and intensive care. The center also trains new batches of Egyptian Fellowship students specializing in pediatric cardiology under the supervision of expert cardiologists.
Dr. Luqman and Dr. Abbas praised the initiative of hosting this medical camp, which aims to alleviate patients' suffering and provide citizens with free early-detection services for heart, diabetes, and blood pressure conditions. They also commended the efforts of Kuwait Hospital’s staff in delivering excellent medical care.
