Iran has reached a high level in the field of nuclear science and technology despite all the hostility against it, head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization said on Tuesday.
"Despite all the hostility directed against Iran, we are witnessing the continued growth and dynamism of this organization," Mehr News Agency quoted Mohammad Eslami as saying in a statement on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the organization.
"Today, the country has reached a high level in the field of nuclear science and technology," he added.
"During this period, we have tried to show the impact of our achievements on people's lives and the national economy."
The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran concluded his speech by saying: "Clean nuclear power plants, and our only nuclear plant, have succeeded in saving about 105 million barrels of oil during the past decade."
