Washington - Saba:

Senior US administration officials have resigned in protest of President Joe Biden's "blind" support for the Zionist enemy entity, and their receiving orders to immediately approve any Zionist request.

In the American investigative program 60 Minutes, the resigning officials late on Monday said the requests to support the Israeli occupier came from President Joe Biden and his Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and from figures surrounding them.

The program indicated that 13 senior officials, including individuals from the State Department, the White House, and the military, resigned in protest of the "blind support" for the occupier, during the aggression on Gaza.

"There is a direct link between every bomb dropped in Gaza and the United States, because every bomb dropped from an American plane," said Josh Paul, who served for 11 years as director of the Office of Military Policy at the State Department and was one of the senior officials responsible for approving major arms deals for US allies.

He added that since the beginning of the war, the United States has transferred $18 billion in military aid to the occupation entity, most of it in the form of weapons funded by American taxpayers.

Earlier this month, the US State Department approved an $8 billion arms deal with the Zionist entity.

The officials’ statements come in light of reports during the aggression and accusations that the Biden administration delayed shipments of heavy bombs and heavy weapons to the occupation state.

Andrew Miller, the former deputy assistant secretary of state for Israel and the Palestinians, and the most senior official to resign from the administration, said in an interview that the message to Israel was clear: The message that Prime Minister Netanyahu received was that he is in the front seat, he controls this, and American support will be there, and he can take it for granted.

He added that no real red lines were set beyond the "usual language" regarding compliance with international law.

For her part, Hala Raherit, an American diplomat who resigned in protest of Biden's policy, said that she was reprimanded when she tried to publish pictures from the Palestinian side with the aim of "warning of the heavy human cost. I was told, ‘Don’t put that picture there, we don’t want to see that.'"

Another White House official interviewed on the program defended the policy, saying that the administration's lawyers did not decide that Israel violated the laws of war, and therefore arms shipments continue to flow. Miller, however, sees the reality differently. "Without the intervention of the United States or anyone else imposing or pressuring a decision, it will end when Netanyahu says it's over."

The Zionist enemy forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 46,584 citizens, and the injury of 109,731 others, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue teams cannot reach them.
