Hodeida - Saba:
An expanded meeting of local leaders, scholars, preachers, and social figures from the southern square districts was held on Sunday in Bait al-Faqih district of Hodeida province to mark the anniversary of Rajab Friday 1446 AH.
The gathering, under the slogan "Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni," celebrated the deep-rooted faith identity of the Yemeni people.
Organized by the local authority, general mobilization, and the scholars unit of the southern square districts, the event featured speeches from prominent figures, including Member of Parliament Mansour Wasil.
Wasil emphasized that commemorating Rajab Friday strengthens the connection to Yemen's history and highlights the country's unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian people.
He pointed out that Yemen’s current position against the Zionist-American forces is rooted in the nation’s historical support for Islam and its values since the dawn of the faith.
Sheikh Abdulrahman al-Ahdal, Mufti of Zabid, and Ali Somal, head of the Scholars Unit, spoke about the significance of the anniversary and its reminder of Yemen's proud role in spreading Islam. They also praised Yemen's continuous support for Palestine, affirming that these positions have remained steadfast despite the passage of time.
The meeting included calls for scholars to continue their efforts in mobilizing support for the Palestinian cause and the resistance.
Hussein Sahl, Director of Bait Al-Faqih District, underscored the importance of carrying the message of Islam with resilience and confronting the forces of tyranny that oppose it. He noted that commemorating Rajab Friday helps strengthen the Yemeni faith identity and fortifies the nation's resolve in the face of external aggression, particularly from American, Israeli, and British forces.
