Atletico Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 on matchday 18 of La Liga last night.

Rodrigo De Paul and Alexander Sorloth scored Atletico Madrid's goals in the 60th and 96th minutes, while Barcelona's only goal was scored by Pedro Gonzalez in the 30th minute.

With this victory, Atletico Madrid are alone at the top of the overall standings of the competition with 41 points (and have a game postponed), three points behind Barcelona, who slipped to second place.

In the remaining round matches, Real Mallorca beat Getafe with an unanswered goal, Celta de Vigo beat Real Sociedad with two clean sheets, and Athletic Bilbao beat Osasuna 2-1.
