German club Bayern Munich has announced the departure of their English player Eric Dier, defender for the first football team, at the end of the current season.
In a statement on its official account on the platform *X*, Bayern Munich confirmed that English defender Eric Dier will leave the club after the conclusion of the current season.
Christoph Freund, Bayern Munich's sporting director, stated that he discussed the possibility of extending the player's contract with Dier, but the English player informed him that he would not renew his contract and would leave the club at the end of the season.
Bayern Munich signed Eric Dier on loan in January of last year. The defender quickly established himself as a key player in Bayern’s defense last season before signing a permanent one-year contract with the club in June 2024.
Currently, Bayern Munich leads the German Bundesliga standings with 75 points, holding an 8-point advantage over their closest rivals, Bayer Leverkusen, after 31 matchdays.
