Sana'a - Saba:

First Deputy Prime Minister islamic scholar Mohammed Meftah was briefed on Sunday on the progress of work at the General Traffic Police Department.

During the visit, Meftah received a report from Major General Dr. Bakil al-Barashi, the Director General of Traffic Police, along with Colonel Najib, Director of Traffic for the Capital Sana'a, and other key officials. They outlined the department's activities, challenges, and ongoing efforts to improve traffic management and safety.

In his address to the traffic police personnel, Meftah praised their achievements and highlighted their dedication to their service, driven by a sense of national and religious responsibility.

He emphasized the need for cooperation among all stakeholders in ensuring traffic safety and stressed the importance of public awareness to reduce accidents and enhance road safety.

Meftah assured that the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council recognized the efforts of the traffic police and would continue to support them to further improve their services. He urged the personnel to innovate and work with a strong sense of responsibility to achieve the nation’s goals.

Major General al-Barashi expressed gratitude for the visit, noting it served as an incentive for further improvements in the department's work. He also highlighted the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing support to enhance traffic safety across the country.

At the conclusion of the visit, al-Barashi presented a detailed study on high-risk traffic areas and proposals to reduce accidents, along with a statistical report on traffic incidents over the past decade amid ongoing conflict.
