Inter Milan, the title holder, beat host Hellas Verona 5-0 in the match that brought them together last night, in the opening matches of the 13th round of the Italian Football Championship.

Inter's goals were scored by Argentine Joaquin Correa (17), Frenchman Marcus Thuram (22 and 25), Dutchman Stefan de Vrij (31), and German Jan Aurel Besik (41).

With this victory, the "Nerazzurri" raised their score to 28 points and snatched first place by two points from Napoli, which hosts Roma today. On the other hand, Verona's score froze at 12 points in 14th place.
