Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer held a meeting on Tuesday with Resident Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Sana'a Peter Hawkins.
In the meeting, Hawkins and Amer discussed centered on the progress of the unconditional cash transfer project, which is set to conclude in December 2024.
Minister Amer emphasized the need for UNICEF to intensify its efforts in securing additional funding to support humanitarian initiatives in Yemen.
He underscored the importance of ensuring that aid reaches the most vulnerable groups, through close coordination with relevant Yemeni authorities.
In response, Hawkins noted that UNICEF is actively engaging with donors to secure increased funding for ongoing humanitarian projects.
The UN official also highlighted the organization's continued efforts to identify new sources of financial support for the people of Yemen.
