Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting chaired by the Health and Environment Minister , Dr. Ali Shaiban, discussed aspects related to the promotion of the local national pharmaceutical industry in Sana'a.
The meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister, Dr. Nasher Al-Qaoud, Chairman of the Higher Pharmaceutical Authority, Dr. Ali Abbas, and included Vice Presidents of the Yemeni Federation of Pharmaceutical Producers, Ahmed Al-Shahari, Dr. Nabil Atif, Dr. Fahim Al-Khalidi, President of the Health Care Association for Affected Communities, Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, Director of Health Care at the Martyrs' Family Welfare Authority, Dr. Mohsen Al-Hadawi, and representatives of a number of pharmaceutical companies.
The Health Minister pointed out that arrangements are currently being made to implement medical camps for martyrs' families in conjunction with the martyr's anniversary, which requires concerted efforts to alleviate the suffering of martyrs' families, in recognition of the sacrifices they made in defense of the country.
He directed the Higher Pharmaceutical Authority to prepare a list of urgent medicines to be presented to local factories to start manufacturing them due to their importance and absolute necessity for pharmaceutical security requirements, urging factories to provide the government health sector with high-quality national pharmaceutical products, calling for the need to accelerate the completion of the discussion of the draft pharmacy and medicine law by the assigned committee.
For their part, representatives of the Yemeni Federation of Pharmaceutical Producers praised the Ministry of Health's direction , support for encouraging and nurturing the pharmaceutical industries , strengthening the infrastructure for investment in the fields of pharmaceutical industries and medical supplies on the path of implementing the objectives of the strategy for the development and localization of pharmaceutical industries "2025-2030".
