Sana'a - Saba : The national youth team arrived at Sana'a airport this afternoon, coming from the Jordanian capital, Amman, after reaching the Asian finals.
The national team had won the ticket to the Asian finals in China 2025, after finishing second, after competing in the qualifiers in the sixth group, which was held in Indonesia from September 21 to 29.
The national team, led by coach Mohammed Al-Baadani, assistant coach Haitham Al-Asbahi and goalkeeping coach Mohammed Ja'awan, achieved outstanding results after beating East Timor 3-1 and the Maldives 3-0, and drawing with host Indonesia 1-1, to finish second with a goal difference so that the Yemeni stars were chosen as the best teams that finished second.
The mission was welcomed by Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Nabih Abu Shusa, Assistant Undersecretary of the Sports Sector Dr. Kamal Al-Sharif, Director of Activities at the Youth Fund Hamza Saleh, Director of the Football Federation Ahmed Al-Sahli and a number of stakeholders.
